There are many ways our thoughts, feelings and behaviors can make our lives seem unmanageable: abusing substances, body loathing, disordered eating, depression, anxiety, being in a job we hate, or phase of life transitions are some of the ways/times people get stuck.  Change is scary, but a necessary part of improving the quality of your life and you are worth it. Sometimes we need help to begin the process of change.

In my practice, I support the process of change by using a variety of evidenced based techniques and therapeutic approaches like EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Stages of Change Model, Intuitive Eating counseling, Harm Reduction and Relapse Prevention and administering the Safe and Sound Protocol.

Most importantly, I treat you as the expert in your own life. You may need help, support and guidance, but you are the one who ultimately takes the action in your own life to make it better. Therapy doesn't fix people; instead it allows for the time, space and attention that is necessary to move through a difficult time and come out the other side to a better place.
